What is Life Coaching?
Some people believe that a life coach is someone who will assist you in setting and achieving specific goals, and help create strategies to overcome challenges. And that a life coach provides guidance, motivation, inspiration, support, and is action driven. Areas such as fitness, health, and wellness are a part of life coaching.
We believe that life coaching includes most of the things mentioned above, but we separate fitness, health, and wellness coaching from life coaching. To us, life coaching is about life planning. Life coaching is about planning your future and Health and Wellness coaching is more about how you get there. We use Life coaching to gain clarity about your current situation, creating a vision about your future, and creating short and long term action plans to achieve those long-term goals and objectives.
The health and wellness coaching philosophy primarily focuses on current and short-term action plan, as well as goals and objectives. It is more of being in the current moment, taking many small steps that will enable you to make slow, manageable changes towards creating long-lasting sustainable change.
Both methods work but we find it's best to separate life coaching from health and wellness coaching and combine them on an as needed basis. This is simply a preferred style and approach towards coaching that has outstanding results.
