| Spinning Circles |
|
| |
| Position: |
High Horse or Horse stance. Keep your knees and elbows bent. |
| Towel: |
Fold the towel in half. Hold one end of the towel in each hand approximately a shoulders width apart. Leave some towel drape down at each end.
|
| Movement: |
Begin spinning one end of the towel in a circular motion at waist level. Then start spinning the other end in an opposite circular motion.
Feel free to move your hips and midsection in a rocking motion from side-to-side and around in conjunction with your hand movements.
|
Duration:
|
20 to 40 times in each direction when performing aerobics. Spin one or multiple times as desired in a freestyle routine.
|
| Remember: |
Breathe deeply and move freely with each movement. |
| Variation: |
Try first spinning a longer piece of the towel and then a shorter piece of the towel. To spin a long piece requires more effort and control.
Try spinning both ends in the same direction at the same time, opposite directions or in the same direction at different times.
