Kicks take practice. Many beginners injure themselves by trying to kick too high or by snapping their legs out too quickly. It is best to start with low kicks and knee kicks. It is also okay to start with some low swing kicks from the hip. Only after several workouts should you allow yourself to kick high and introduce a snap. The height and speed will come as you gain more practice, flexibility and balance.
Remember, always make sure you have good footing when doing these routines.
It is best to consult a professional trainer before attempting high front or side snap kicks.
